The natural world has inspired women in creative and scientific pursuits for centuries. This exhibit aims to celebrate and explore illustrations made by women in 19th and early 20th century Philadelphia. The visitor will learn about communities and institutions that helped support the studies they were otherwise barred from. The exhibit includes contemporary works reinterpreting these histories through a modern lens.
